St. Petersburg. Zaur Nurmammadov-APA. German rock group “Einsturzende Neubauten” has included song “Nagorno Karabakh” into its album “Alles Wieder Offen”, APA reports.
The members of the rock group, who are going to give concert in St. Petersburg, said in an interview that by calling the song “Nagorno Karabakh” they supported separatist regime.
“We called the song “Nagorno Karabakh”, as the word is pronounced easily. On the other hand, we consider this region close to us. Nagorno Karabakh is enclave in Azerbaijan and exclave for Armenia. It resembles separation of Berlin. At that time west part of Berlin was in fact sieged by eastern enemy groupings,” he said.

| For The St. Petersburg Times Einsturzende Neubauten formed 28 years ago when Berlin was divided and the west part of the city was a magnet for artists. |
Twenty-eight years since the pioneering German industrial/noise band Einsturzende Neubauten (Collapsing New Buildings) was formed, the band returns to St. Petersburg with yet another album, “Alles Wieder Offen,” (Everything Open Again) self-described as “possibly [its] most fully and perfectly realized album yet.”
Reputed as the ultimate Berlin band, Einsturzende Neubauten’s origins are said to lie with the notorious wall erected by the Communists in the city in 1961 to prevent East Germans from defecting to the west.
“The [Berlin] Wall was of crucial importance [to] the founding of Einsturzende Neubauten,” the band’s press notes read. “The Wall encircling West Berlin transformed that city into a state-subsidized near-paradisiacal freak-enclave for artists and the maladjusted of every sort.” ( read more... )

Nagorno Karabakh looks like a traditional state: people speak Armenian, use Armenian currency, they have their own flag and president. But they live on what's internationally recognized as Azerbaijani soil.

On May 26, 2007 the Azerbaijani FM made a statement that Armenia and Azerbaijan had come to an agreement over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict resolution, according to which the Armenian side will hand over 7 former Azerbaijani districts of historical Artsakh land back to Azerbaijan, which our brothers liberated from the Turks during the bloody Artsakh war. The Armenian military force will be replaced by an international peacekeeping mission.

Simultaneously, according to Azerbaijani press, Minsk Group representatives made similar statements in Baku: http://www.panarmenian.net/news/eng/?ni
A few days ago, the President of Artsakh made a statement, in which he tried to assure people that Kashatagh (Lachin corridor) will not be given to Azerbaijan: http://www.panarmenian.net/news/eng/?ni
On June 1, 2007 the Associated Press cited the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair of the USA Matthew Bryza: "If the St. Petersburg meeting (of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents, scheduled on June 9, 2007) is successful, then the number of differences remaining on basic principles could be reduced to close to zero" and that the two sides have agreed on the return of districts surrounding NK that are also under ethnic Armenian control. http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/0
Besides being historical Armenian lands liberated for the first time in contemporary Armenian history, these districts constitute a security guaranty for Artsakh and its population. More on the strategic significance of these territories here: http://www.regnum.ru/english/679147.htm
On the unacceptability of foreign “peacekeeping” forces in/around NK here: http://www.panarmenian.net/news/eng/?ni
In order to prevent the surrender of lands that will lead to the loss of Artsakh and a consequent loss of both Armenian statehoods, a group of Armenian activists has started a protest movement. The Online part of the protest actions comprises a statement-petition prepared by Armenian web-forums. We call upon individuals, organizations, web portals to join our protest and sign the petition here:

Unless there will appear a power/state/international body that will be ready to pay for saving unprotected groups, no peacekeeping mission will make a sense. Do u imagine in today’s word a nation/group that is ready to sacrifice own people/soldiers for (maybe successful, maybe not) saving another nation/group? Not for the sake of protecting own land and own ppl, of gaining territory, of enjoying the fame of being the winner, of any material gains… no! just for saving lives w/o getting anything in turn. I, sincerely, cannot. & i cannot blame anybody for that. I myself would never sacrifice my son/my countryman for saving a stranger. For no high humanitarian idea. Tut mir leid.
Unless those unprotected lives are worth for someone more than own life, it will never ever happen. Even an order from the tops cannot work here.
Over a year we hear speculations on dislocating Armenian forces and locating international peacekeeping forces in/around Karabakh. And recent confirmations that peacekeeping forces are part of the document discussed in the negotiations and it's close to be signed. And last news from
Who can be trusted for undertaking peacekeeping mission in the NK conflict line? Who is today ready to die for protecting Armenian population in the region?
- Americans? Any European nation? At last, our “strategic partner” Russians? The right answer to all options is “NO”.
Only Armenian men will die for saving the Armenian population. So fuck off with your “peacekeeping” missions! The only safety guaranty for Armenian civil population both in NKR and
