только вернулась с ужина с ооочь интересными людьми (имен назвать не стану, да и рассказ не про них). успешно ассимилированный, изменивший арм фамилию на что-то без "ян" немецкий армянин, у кого отец иранский армянин и его подруга, немка, которая еще при советах десятки лет жила в армении, работала экскурсоводом, а теперь важных людей или бизнесменов сопровождает в армению, налаживает для них деловые контакты там... настолько влюбленная в армению и армян, что везде ищет (и находит!) армянское. так, рассказывает, как-то сопровождала группу бизнесменов в венецию, и водила их по армянским следам, св. лазарь и все дела. к концу дня сопутники не выдержали и спросили а есть ли в венеции что-либо итальянское?!:)))))) та же история в москве:Д не буду спать, пока не расскажу что-то из их рассказов, а то забудется-потеряется.

вы знали, что Герберт фон Караян карабахский армянин? или что армянский писатель Костан Зарян передавал немецкие деньги Ленину, финансировал революцию? (гетин@ мтнер, эд бан@ чанер!!) нет?:) тогда вам под кат.

они рассказывали про талантливых армян в германии, речь зашла и о караяне, что у них друг, который знал брата Караяна. они встретились в какой-то лечебнице в германии, т.к. оба на -ян, нашли друг-друга, заговорили на родном о родном. ну, как везде, когда 2 армянина встречаются. и этот друг рассказал, что они карабахские армяне (когда армяне встречаются, первым делом спрашивают "вортехи хай ес?" т.е. откуда корни), что семья переселилась еще в 18ом веке в европу. и что у него еще есть брат, Герберт Караян, и он директор (на немецком дирижер), но тогда никто не знал никакого герберта караяна. через много лет все знают всемирно известного дирижера Герберта фон Караяна, но он уже был ни армянином, ни карабахским.

потом за весь вечер возвращались к этому армянину, наш иранский-германский армянин постоянно цитировал его, рассказывал из его приключений.. было настолько увлекательно, что попросила побольше рассказать о нем. уникальнейший человек!!!!! мир должен знать о нем, постараюсь восстановить лоскуты рассказов о нем.

завут Ваге (Vahe) Гойумтч*ян (за правописание фамилии не выручаюсь, что-то незнакомое), родился где-то в 1910году в Цюрихе, но потом семя вернулась в западную арменииюю, и ребенком чудом спасся от геноцида. отец был знаменитым армянским юмористом в Костантинополе, звали Арандзар. мать была немкой, официанткой в отеле, где остановился отец, там познакомились, поженились, потом она с мужем поехала в его страну и стала жертвой геноцида армян. родителей Ваге потерял рано, мать умерла, когда ему было 5 лет, а когда было 7, умер и отец. и сам бы не выжил геноцида, если бы не его дядя в Алепо (Halep), у кого он и приютился. потом до конца жизни из германии он каждый год в день встречи своих родителей ездил в цюрих, сел в ресторане отеля, где они встретились, заказывал напитки на троих, и пил за троих в одиночестве. ритуал. так и не женился, братьев-сестер-детей не было, был одиночкой по жизни.

в юности 4 года он жил в ерусалеме, помнил, как в те годы ерусалем посетил Джемал Паша, сказал, что стены грязные, помыть. и еще посетил армянскую патриархию ерусалема, спросил чем может помочь, а наш тогдашний патриарх Орhманян Вахакиа (пишу по памяти) ответил типа "джансахутйун"/пайцарапайлутйун, т.е. литераллы ничего не попросил. а Джемал Паша потом подарил им много риса..

потом он много ездил по миру, много раз был в советской армении, но постоянным местом жительства была германия. лично знал много великих, начиная с Чаренца и кончая Гитлером. был сс-овцем, потом после войны работал с американцами (т.е. типа анти-сс-овец), а как крутил все это - сплошные хохмы:)

армянам наверное интереснее всего его связи с армянскими писателями. с Чаренцом встретились впервые в Венеции, подружились. тогда Чаренц покупил в венеции инкнахос ручку, потом той самой ручкой писал свой "еркир наири". эта ручка, говорит, лежит в музее чаренца. Ваге рассказывал, что в венеции Чаренц ему очень нравился, был очень вежливым, учтивым со всеми, цивильным, никогда не ругался.. он Ваге очень нравился. а когда он встретил чаренца в армении, это был уже другой человек, грубый, невоспитанный, много ругался... был просто невыносим. еще он знал историю про то, как КГБ заставили чаренца шпионить в мюнхене..

Знал он и Аветика Исаакяна, но он ему ужааасно не нравился, говорил очень плохой был человек. кстати, исаакян не хотел возвращаться в армению. это Мхитаряны заставили его поехать в армению..

и еще истории со встреч с наири заряном, Агароняном, Костаном Заряном (встретились в париже..)... но уже усталая, засыпаю, потом вспомню, добавлю.

еще у него была книжка, где знаменитые люди писали ему пару строк и подписывались. в этой книжке были так же строки руководителя дашнаков Микаеля Варданяна. эту книжку, фотографии и записи он завещал армянскому патриархату в Кёлне, но они их потеряли:( (мой знакомый пытался попросить у них, документировать, но они не смогли найти..) и умер он в одиночестве в доме престарелых, было ему за 90...

*он часто говорил, что в германии чувствовал себе армянином, а в армении немцем:) //so familiar!!!

до чего удобно, когда в боарде только 3 члена! достаточно получить голос одного, чтобы решать любой вопрос, до второго и не ждешь, пуст дрыхнет дальше. но вся прелесть не в этом. без меня-то они ничего не могут решать, у президента право на вето. йес!!!

The members of the rock group, who are going to give concert in St. Petersburg, said in an interview that by calling the song “Nagorno Karabakh” they supported separatist regime.
“We called the song “Nagorno Karabakh”, as the word is pronounced easily. On the other hand, we consider this region close to us. Nagorno Karabakh is enclave in Azerbaijan and exclave for Armenia. It resembles separation of Berlin. At that time west part of Berlin was in fact sieged by eastern enemy groupings,” he said.

Einsturzende Neubauten formed 28 years ago when Berlin was divided and the west part of the city was a magnet for artists.

Twenty-eight years since the pioneering German industrial/noise band Einsturzende Neubauten (Collapsing New Buildings) was formed, the band returns to St. Petersburg with yet another album, “Alles Wieder Offen,” (Everything Open Again) self-described as “possibly [its] most fully and perfectly realized album yet.”

Reputed as the ultimate Berlin band, Einsturzende Neubauten’s origins are said to lie with the notorious wall erected by the Communists in the city in 1961 to prevent East Germans from defecting to the west.

“The [Berlin] Wall was of crucial importance [to] the founding of Einsturzende Neubauten,” the band’s press notes read. “The Wall encircling West Berlin transformed that city into a state-subsidized near-paradisiacal freak-enclave for artists and the maladjusted of every sort.”

The wall was eventually dismantled by popular revolt in 1989 and Germany was reunified in 1990.

Einsturzende Neubauten’s “Kollapse” (1981), its radical, avant-garde, noise album using jackhammers and drills, was in a way a reaction to the abnormality of living in the divided city. Symbolically, that era ended in 2004 when the band performed at the Palast der Republik, the former headquarters of the power apparatus of the fallen German Democratic Republic, which was in the process of being demolished.

Alexander Hacke, the band’s bassist, spoke to The St. Petersburg Times by telephone from his home studio.

How did the Berlin Wall influence your work?

I was born and raised in a city that doesn’t exist anymore. The name of this city was West Berlin. Now I live in a city called Berlin, which is also a capital of Germany, but that’s a completely different place from the place I grew up in.

And it’s true that the West Berlin really influenced early Neubauten, because of its situation. West Berlin was an island, it was a little elitist village. Dropouts from the west of Germany would go to West Berlin in order not have to go to the army.

The atmosphere was very different. You would know everyone in the scene; the scene was very small.

Now it is the capital of the country, and there is business here, there is security here, because the politicians are here, and basically it’s a lot harder for the underground in a city like this than what Berlin was before.

Now it is the city with suburbs, and it’s a completely different setup. It’s not as subsidized as West Berlin was for art, there’s a lot of struggle.

I don’t find Berlin as it is now very inspiring artistically. The rents are cheap, it’s a good place to live and work, but it is not very inspiring. I get my inspirations elsewhere, if I get inspired by a city at all.

How did you feel about playing at Palast der Republik?

We were happy to be among the last people to appear in that building before it got torn down.

For me, that building didn’t have a very big impact on my life, on my history, because, as you know, I’m from the West. I was never confined to the country of East Germany, I could travel, and I have never been part of that system.

That building represented the system that doesn’t exist anymore, therefore it’s interesting for us, but it was not the system that influenced me personally. For me it was much different than for many members of the audience.

There have been a lot of films about life in East Germany lately, so it must be interesting for the audiences.

It is very predictable. By the time the Wall fell you could expect this nostalgia to come out. No matter how bad the system was, there were always things of sentimental value and I suppose you can say this about your own country as well [Russia]. Even if a lot of things have changed for the better, there will be things that you have fond memories of and that you remember even if they are not there anymore.

For example, for a lot of people from East Germany there was a great sense of solidarity and great warmth among these people. The way they treated each other, the way they communicated with each other was very different from the habits of the western world. A lot of East Germans miss it now, living in the capitalist world. They miss this solidarity and the warmth of their former communities.

There’s a lot of Russians in Berlin now, is their presence felt in art or music?

There’s one guy in particular, his name is Vladimir Kaminer, he’s a writer and entrepreneur. He organizes quite a few events, there’s Russendisko and stuff like that. Quite a scene has developed around him, which is interesting. And the Russendisko parties, they’re just fantastic.

One song on the “Alles Wieder Offen” album has to do with the former Soviet Union.

“Nagorny Karabakh,” yes. Very important information is that none of us has ever been to Nagorny Karabakh. It is a metaphor for a state of mind. And also it is an inside Neubauten reference, because one of the most important pieces from 1983, from [the album] “Zeichnungen des Patienten O. T.,” is called “Armenia.” And back then we really related to the history of the Armenian people.

The history is quite tragic, really, and pretty bad, and therefore also in their folk music — they don’t have a single happy dance tune in their folk music, which is quite amazing. It’s all really sad music. We sort of relate to that.

And Blixa [Bargeld] picked the word “Nagorny Karabakh” for one reason, for its beautiful sound. He enjoys saying this word, Nagorny Karabakh. [Nagorno-Karabakh is a disputed republic in Azerbaijan claimed by Armenia].

There was a terrible war there.

Yes, and still is. It’s a metaphor.

есть еще чокнутые, кто 2-3 ночи смотрит мультики детства?! подсказали сайт, где онлайн можно смотреть фильмы. а такое было счастье найти там Вокруг света за 80 дней! кажись ablertus был, что недавно напомнил, дико хотелось смотреть. целый день качала, потом надо было выйти, вернулась уже за час, жалко было потерять скачанное, вот и осталась ночью без сна:) столько смеялась, что и спать не охота! если у вас инет затянет, вот адрес: http://www.domovie.ru/archive/717/

главное, что успела сделать в ванадзоре, сфоткать на дигиталке свой детский фотоальбом! а то только эти фото с детства были со мною. кто-то не верил, что я была толстушкой и великаном?! под катом страшные зрелища:))) на пр. в 3й фотке, в красном, мне 9 месяца, а выгляжу на все 2 годика!!

а это фотки моего первого пионерского лагеря! мне лет 5-6, в школу еще не ходила, но папа был в каком-то парткоме, и по-блату устроили меня в лагерь:))))) потом еще была в пионерском лагере /последняя фото/, который уже не был пионерским, совет уже распался..

противоречивые чувства, так злой и легла. европейцы вполне понятно что хотели сказать, аз-цы тем более (хоть вызывали один смех, с их-то алиевской культовой династией), а что раффи сказал, кто-то понял, может объяснить?! хам налин эр хпум, хам салин? типа, да наши власти устроили безобразные выборы, потом убили граждан-демонстрантов, давайте, накажите их. но при этом дабы казаться патриотом перед армянами подсластил речь геноцидом и карабахом?!!! где обсуждение несвободных выборов и беспорядки после этого, и где вопрос геноцида и освобождение арцаха? в чем был трюк? я далека от дипломатии, может кто объяснит?

Armenia appoints envoy to France as new foreign minister

YEREVAN - Armenia has appointed its ambassador to France Eduard Nalbandian as the ex-Soviet republic's new foreign minister, the president's press office said Monday.

Nalbandian, a career diplomat who also served as the country's ambassador to Israel, Andorra and the Vatican, will replace Vardan Oskanian, who resigned following Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian's inauguration on Wednesday, the office said in a statement.

Sarkisian has also appointed the chief of Armenia's armed forces, Seiran Oganian, as the country's new defence minister, the statement said.

Oganian is a veteran of Armenia's war with neighbouring Azerbaijan over the disputed region of Nagorny Karabakh and served as defence minister in Karabakh's Armenian-controlled administration.

He replaces Mikayel Harutunian, who served less than a year as defence minister after taking over from Sarkisian when he became prime minister in mid-2007.

Sarkisian is forming a new government following his election on February 19 in a disputed vote that sparked violent clashes between opposition supporters and security forces.

Armenia's health ministry announced Monday that the death toll from the clashes had reached 10 following the death on Friday of an opposition protester seriously injured during the unrest.
