i got a flatrate tel contract, so my tel bills r quite predictable. above avg bill made me look up my calls list. everything was normal except for several calls to a strange # with area code 0137. calls lasted abt 10 seconds & were charged around 90 euro cents. never called that #, not in my calls list either. googling gave to scam warnings, e.g.: http://www.toytowngermany.com/lofi/inde x.php/t42068.html
called my customer service & asked to block those #s and area codes, so that neither from my tel can be called to them, nor they can reach my #s. O2 stuff refused to block those #, as 0137 is a service code which is used for many services, like music, game d/l, inquires etc. so they have no right to block the area code. and cannot prove if it was rilli called from my phone to those #s or not! & advised to take better care of my phone, not live it unattended. and follow if those calls will appear in my bills any more or not. very convenient! maybe O2 is doing business with those scammers?! basically they refused to solve the prob anyhow. what can be done?
anyways, beware, don't answer calls from such strange #s & don't call back. it may cost u a small, but fortune.
